STAG LIGHT OAK DESK / DRESSING TABLE John & Sylvia Reid 1950s VINTAGE RETRO

  
A stylish and practical desk / dressing table in light oak, these were designed by John & Sylvia Reid for Stag. They date from the 1950's, and in nice condition for their age. Originally a dressing table this makes an equally good desk. CONDITION overall for its age is good, there are of course the usual age related scratches and marks mainly to the top. 74.5 high x 121 wide x 46 deep knee room 56.5 high x 45.5 wide. The older pieces of furniture are better made, normally by craftsmen and not machines, have more character & if looked after will last many years. I also love much older pieces, if they are unusual, well made & a great design I will offer them for sale.

I like to keep pieces as original as possible & will clean & re oil / wax. I convert some to'Hairpin leg' pieces if they have no legs / ugly legs or missing legs.
